Poll Results: Who Will Win The World Cup?

With the group stage of the FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia drawing to a close, it's time to tally up the votes cast on the site on who will end up lifting the trophy. The competition has not been short of surprises, with the much-favored Germany side already on its way back home. The "Beautiful Game" lived up to its reputation for being notoriously hard to predict.

So, without further preamble, we present the final results below. The most frequent vote - including from yours truly - was cast for Germany, followed by "Other", Spain and Brazil. Votes spread out in the "other" category suggests a notable number of voters think France, Portugal or perhaps Croatia are in with a chance. Only time will tell.

Let's hope that the World Cup continues with entertaining, free-flowing football and without security incident. Now is the time for the world to come together and celebrate what we have in common.
